Two young provincial girls, Ira and Zhenya, come to conquer Moscow. If Irina, the eldest of them, has a specific goal of becoming an actress, then Zhenya's plans are not so ambitious. Her passion is cars, motorcycles, engines, and she would be satisfied with any job related to cars.
However, the life of the friends in Moscow is not like a fairy tale - Evgenia cannot find work in any car service, they only need men, and Ira fails to "cleanly" enter the institute, and she is accepted only as an auditor. Chance gives them the opportunity to meet an elderly writer, who also works as a janitor in her own yard. The writer needs extraordinary, life observations, and the two unusual girls find shelter with her for a promise to tell everything about their lives. And life changes dramatically.
