The Final: The Masterclass

The judges are joined by none other than the Kardashians' MUA Hrush Achemyan, master of masterclasses, and she has very high expectations for the finalists.
It's the final: after eight hard weeks, it all comes down to this. And the judges have a major surprise up their sleeve: for the first time ever, the remaining four MUAs must impress in the creative brief to get themselves through to the final industry assignment, the masterclass at Harvey Nichols in front of industry heavyweights.
The MUA who fails to impress after the creative brief will have to pack up their kit and leave.
To be in touching distance of the crown adds immense pressure, and even the most skilled prosthetic MUA's symmetry comes into question. The intensity of the studio is palpable as the MUAs showcase their ‘last looks', a look which represents them as an artist and proves to the judges they deserve a place in the final masterclass. One MUA's design comes to them in a dream, while another MUA dazzles by adding a light-up effect to their look. One calls upon Celtic mythology, and another brings to life an aquatic alien!
Following the judging, one MUA's journey comes to an end, and despite being one step away from the final industry assignment, they must leave the competition.
The remaining MUAs must then prepare for their final masterclass at world-renowned department store Harvey Nichols.
The masterclass audience is a who's who of the beauty industry, from Millie Kendall OBE from the British Beauty Council to Lizzie Yianni-Georgiou, a Marvel film and TV hair and make-up designer, popstars such as Faye Tozer and fashion brands such as Asos: the perfect audience to kick-start your career. As the industry heavyweights pile in to see the MUAs' talent, the three finalists wait nervously to take centre stage.
From challenging beauty standards through alternative contouring, to Frozen-inspired prosthetics and multi-coloured eyeliner, these finalists are pulling out all the stops to make their masterclass memorable.
The nerves show through for one MUA who stumbles over their words, the suspense builds for another as their prosthetics don't go to plan, and the final MUA impresses the audience with confidence and humour.
After the judges look back over the MUAs' body of work, they have the tough job of deciding on a winner. The audience wait with anticipation before the winner of Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star is crowned!
