Жители Городка, как и все нормальные люди, любят детективы. Много лет шли споры, можно ли детективы считать литературой. Сейчас появилось большое количество детективных книг, которые наконец поставили точку в этом многолетнем споре – детективы литературой не являются. Это и позволило им выжить в эпоху, когда никто ничего не читает. Детективы теперь пишут в основном женщины, поэтому они пекутся как блины, по одному рецепту, герои режут друг друга на лапшу, постоянно врут и часто переодеваются, а детективная повесть включает в себя любовный роман, поэтому из неё легко получается мыльная опера. Таким образом, детектив постепенно заменяет собой все остальные жанры. Когда удастся поставить детективный балет, процесс можно будет считать законченным.
