Grand Designs: Deconstructed - Season 1

Season 1
Episodes

Durham Dales - 2025
Greg James discuss the latest brand-new episode of Grand Designs and the themes from the episode, and answer viewers' questions. This episode's build is in the Durham Dales, with artist Sarah and her bright-red triple-roofed hemp house, where the pitfalls of project managing yourself and the joys of building a house from hempcrete are on the menu.

Southwater 2025
This episode's build is in Southwater with manufacturing maestro Pete and ceramicist Aey, who ordered a super-sustainable modular home from a factory in Wales. Kevin and Greg get stuck into modular building and sustainable timber, bat their eyelids at some furry findings, and catch up with Pete and Aey direct from their new cutting-edge home.

Pembrokeshire 2025
This episode's build is in Pembrokeshire, where Marcus and Abi have just £100,000 to build a luxurious off-grid family home deep in a 20-acre woodland, armed with determination and timber from the surrounding forest. Greg and Kevin discuss this raw, physical project that defies convention and challenges many of the ideas around what our homes should be.

Surrey Hills
Greg James will sit down with Grand Designs host, Kevin McCloud to ask the questions viewers most want answered. Together, they'll reflect on the episode and take a deeper look at the build, with an informal and engaging exchange that brings out the detail and decision-making behind each project.

Stratford-upon-Avon 2025
In Stratford-upon-Avon, Piers and Emma assemble a giant 21st-century castle with a tower, castellations, a moat, arrow-slits, loggia courtyards and futuristic technology. At 1100 square metres, it's the biggest building ever featured on Grand Designs. The sheer scale and complexity, along with a budget soaring way past Piers and Emma's predicted £2.2 million, gives Greg and Kevin plenty to get their teeth into.

Wirral Revisit
This edition's build is a revisit to the Wirral peninsula for some industrial-chic bungalow gobbling. Back in 2015 Stuart and Rosie attempted to transform their small 1960s dormer bungalow into a generous 21st-century piece of slick architecture for just £175k. When Kevin last visited in 2016, he saw a very unfinished house, with the family camping between studwork and breezeblock walls.

Sevenoaks- Kent Revisit 2025
Greg & Georgie's Sevenoaks safe haven was thwarted in 2019. After ongoing health concerns and the COVID pandemic, did they finally finish their barn?
And is it everything they dreamt it would be?
