To learn more about Greece and the Greeks, he meets an extraordinary cast of characters from Greek history, from gun-toting priests to the last remaining sponge divers. Getting behind the picture postcard image of this beautiful country, he finds out how the Greeks are coming to terms with a seemingly endless crisis.

Simon travels to the more mountainous area of the country in the North. Here he meets a group of monks and some conservationists who are caring for an orphaned bear.
