A House Divided
In the months following Mac's release from jail and charges against the Bishop looming in the Arkansas church fire, Calvary Church and the Greenleaf family are still reeling, resulting in those involved wondering whether everyone involved if the church and family will survive the outcome. As a result, Lady Mae takes some drastic steps in an attempt to keep the Bishop safe. Charity and Kevin attempt to resolve their issues before the baby is born. Following the closure of her club, Mavis is headed down the path of self-destruction. Bishop learns why Basie is out for blood.

Strange Bedfellows
Upon finding out that the majority of the deacon board are withholding their tithes because of their beliefs about Carlton being an openly gay man working at Calvary, Lady Mae decides to fire him, much to the displeasure of Grace and Charity. Kevin confronts Charity about his feeling that she is keeping him out of their son's life. Grace embarks on a relationship with a journalist who's been cover her family in the newspaper. Meanwhile, Jacob begins to wonder where he fits in with his new role at Triumph II.

A Mother's Love
After one of Mac's victims attempts suicide, Grace makes a rash decision that may have lasting consequences; Kevin's mother visits, exposing old wounds; and Lady Mae tries to reason with Jacob.

Revival
Bishop and Lady Mae preside over Calvary's Fall Revival, and decide to take action against Basie; Lady Mae and Grace connect with old friends; and Grace confronts Mac's new girlfriend.

Point of No Return
When Basie hears about the injunction filed to stop construction of Triumph Two, he stages a sit-in at Calvary in an attempt to force Bishop's hand. In other events, Grace's plan to put Mac away hits a snag.

The Royal Family
When Lady Mae learns of Kevin's secret, Charity and his divorce proceedings become more strained that before it started. Due to Grace's vendetta toward Mac, her relationship with Darius reaches an impasse. Jacob begins to question Basie Skanks motives toward Bishop and Calvary when he discovers a mysterious benefactor of Triumph Church.

Born to Trouble
The anniversary of Faith's death is at hand and Grace shows no sign of giving up her pursuit of Mac. Basie and Jacob, meanwhile, receive bad news regarding Triumph Two's finances.

And the Sparks Fly Upward
In the Season 2 midseason finale, Jacob makes Triumph pastor Basie Skanks an offer to clear his debt and gain full control of Triumph II; and Mac receives bad news from Skip Leonard that puts him in an explosive collision course with Grace.

The Bear
The family begins to deal with the aftermath of Grace and Mac's showdown at his apartment. As the prosecutor contemplates charging Grace, she turns to God for reassurance that what she did was the right thing. As this is occurring, Jacob and Kerissa attempt to hold out an olive branch to Bishop now that they own the land that Triumph II was to be built on. While Charity and Kevin adjust to their separate lives now that they're divorced, Kevin has made a major life decision, Charity reels when she learns what he is planning on doing.

Call Not Complete
As Jacob and Kerissa establish their new ministry on the land next to Calvary, Grace attempts to bring him back, only to get turned down cold. It is during this time, she learns of Jacob and Charity's feelings about her leaving following Faith's death all those years ago. After reading Kevin's letter, Charity frantically tries to find him before he does something drastic. Bishop receives an interesting offer from a church benefactor. When Darius informs Grace of a job offer he got in New York, she begins to wonder where she fits in his life.

Changing Season
After seeing how disappointed Sophia and Zora are about not being selected for the annual debutant cotillion, Lady Mae takes matters into her own hands to get her granddaughters included in the festivities, and soon learns the reason why the girls were excluded. While at an area meeting of pastors, held at Triumph, Grace is moved by what Basie Skanks said in regards to how gay youth are treated in the religious community. After Charity reaches out to Carlton, he voices his suspicions about why it took so long for her to call him. Lady Mae becomes suspicious of the Calvary's newest benefactor when she discovers Rochelle getting cozy with Bishop.

House Rules
Bishop becomes suspicious of Grace when she gets inspired by Basie Skanks when an interview written by Darius and then a video about inclusivity in church goes viral. As a result, Bishop goes to have a heart to heart with Basie. Tiring of Jacob not wanting to use the money raised to fix the things needed around the house, Kerissa urges him to get a day job. Jacob sets some new ground rules for Zora and Isaiah after catching them alone in Zora's room. Meanwhile, as Grace tries to figure out where she fits in at Calvary, Charity tries to figure out where her relationship with Jabari is headed. Lady Mae gets some new information about Rochelle that makes her more suspicious of the woman's motives toward Bishop.

Silence and Loneliness
After having several unnerving nightmares, Grace opens up to Darius about happened between she and Mac when she was younger. Armed with what Kerissa shared about Basie Skanks' less than honest finances, Bishops gives his rival pastor an ultimatum, resulting in Basie reluctantly turning over Triumph over to Jacob. Charity goes to elaborate lengths to upgrade her working relationship with Jabari to something romantic. The Bishop and Lady Mae's friend Bishop Lionel Jeffries arrives in town with some surprising news he wants to share with the Greenleaf family.

The Father's Will
As Jacob begins his first day as the leader of Triumph, he and Kerissa are promptly met with much resistance from several church members. While working with Jabari, Charity gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to go on tour with a famous Christian musician. Elsewhere, Lionel and Aaron arrive in town and drop an enormous bombshell involving Kevin that sends Lady Mae and Bishop Greenleaf reeling. Grace and Darius get to know one another better.

Two By Two
As Sophia and Zora continually prepare for their cotillion, Lady Mae finds herself at increasing odds with Bishop. When Maricel's husband finds himself in sick in the hospital, Charity's plans to go on tour seem to be put in limbo. Jacob receives a tantalizing offer from the Deputy Mayor. While Tasha and Basie put a plan into action for taking the Greenleaf family down, Grace begins to worry that Bishop and Rochelle Cross are getting inappropriately close.

The Pearl
The tension between Zora and Isaiah come to a head at the cotillion when Sophia takes a stand to help her cousin out. Lady Mae and Mavis have a confrontation about the relationship she had with Bishop many years ago and a surprising truth is revealed as a result. A stunning connection between Rochelle and Basie Skanks is discovered. As Kevin returns, looking to be a part of his son's life, Charity's relationship with Jabari goes to the next level.
