Season 1
It is 1812. Lieutenant Grigory Rylsky must deliver secret documents to Kutuzov. Once they reach the commander, the Russian army will launch an offensive. However, on his way to the headquarters, the lieutenant catches a glimpse of a village girl and suddenly finds himself in the future, in the apartment of a young scientist named Dmitry Zhuravlev and his wife, Katya, who are on the verge of divorce. When he tries to return to the past, the time machine breaks down, and the lieutenant is forced to stay in the 21st century until the scientist repairs it.

Season 2
Grigory Rylsky must once again travel to the future to save the past. The lieutenant is entrusted with an important mission: to deliver the "Tear of Siberia" diamond to the Austrian emperor in order to secure an important strategic alliance. However, the diamond is stolen by the British spy, Montgomery Rathford, and Gusar is forced to seek help from Mitya and Katya. Grigory Rylsky finds himself in the 21st century, where he meets the charming Anastasia. With her assistance, the lieutenant plans to return the diamond to the past and restore his reputation. However, Gusar's plans are threatened by a new challenge: Rylsky finds himself falling deeply in love with his new partner.

Season 3
The new season takes place twenty years after the events of the second part. Nastya and Grigory Savelyevich Rylsky have a son named Nikolai, and for many years, they have been hiding the truth about the time machine and their own heroic past, hoping to protect him from danger. However, Nikolai turns out to be his father's true heir, and instead of leading a peaceful life, he chooses to serve in a hussar regiment. When Nikolai returns home from his military service, an imperial messenger arrives at the Rylsky estate with a dangerous mission: the Russian ambassador has gone missing in London. Now, Nastya and Grigory must embark on a quest to find him.
