Violeta Lax returns to Barcelona to prevent the legacy of her grandfather, the painter Amadeo Lax, from being mistreated. One day in the family house, they will discover a corpse. The research pushes to rewrite the past of the first-born of a family of the Catalan bourgeoisie of the early 20th century that hid secrets and closed rooms.

Upon returning home, Amadeo Lax becomes a tramp due to the concern of his mother and the indignation of his brother. Finally meet Teresa Brusés and love will arise with the excuse of painting a portrait. However, the past is taking shape as her granddaughter, Violeta Lax is fitting pieces 70 years later.
