When a group of teenagers are involved in an horrific bus accident, Jane Halifax's holiday is cut short. While counselling the survivors, Jane suspects there is more to the accident than meets the eye. When an attempt is made to murder one of the survivors, Jane must cast herself as bait to avert another tragedy.
Swimming with Sharks
When an Asian hitman and drug importer is killed in prison, Jane is called into to investigate. The killer is one of five prisoners within the fearsome 'special unit' and it is up to Jane to break the code of silence between them before it's too late.

She can rely only on her estranged 17-year-old daughter, whom she remembers as a 9-year-old, and a handful of devoted friends, as she struggles to continue practicing medicine, despite having lost nearly a decade of knowledge and experience.
