From a bar tender and a millionaire to an alpha male and a proud feminist, which couple will be the first to take the cuffs off?

Episode 2
The unlikely manacled couples are still living cheek by jowl as they get to know each other - for better or for worse. Housewife and self-confessed prude Charlie hopes being handcuffed to a total stranger will help broaden her mind. After her initial shock at being chained to 6' 7' heavily tattooed Rob, they settle into domestic bliss at Charlie's cottage. Meanwhile, the forced friendship between Christian hairdresser Nina and chatty mum of seven Sara could be the start of something beautiful - until the former realises just how talkative her partner is.

Some of the pairs have had enough and called it quits. But not 70-year-old Yorkshireman Bob and 38-year-old London youth worker Chris. However, when the latter learns about a shocking incident from his partner's past, he wonder whether he can continue. Meanwhile, eco-warrior and vegan campaigner Morag is shocked when the woman she is chained to, petrol-head and beauty salon owner Angie, reveals her views on climate change.

Episode 5
With the final getting ever closer, the handcuffed couples face a new challenge: their first holiday away together. Jonathan Ross sends them across the UK on iconic British breaks, from beautiful canal trips to camping in the wild countryside, and enjoying all the fun of the fair at the great British seaside. On neutral territory, and without friends and family around, how do they cope with just their cuff-partner for company?

The Final
