Help Me Help You - Season 1

Season 1
Episodes

Pilot
In the series opener, psychologist Bill stumbles into bed with his estranged wife --- and her new boyfriend, a car salesman. At the office, meanwhile, Bill has a new patient: a young man with suicidal tendencies named Dave, who jumped out of an office window and landed on his boss.

The Mattress
At the suggestion of the therapist with whom he shares a waiting room, Bill breaks into his estranged wife's house to take their marital mattress. As for Bill's patients, Dave seeks respect from his co-workers, and Darlene and Michael's rendezvous is interrupted when Jonathan shows up with a problem. Sasha: Lindsay Sloane.

Fun Run
Told that he's too competitive by three fellow therapists, Bill sets out to change his ways in order to win Anne back, but ends up competing with Jonathan in a footrace through Central Park. Meanwhile, Inger meets her online gaming "husband"; and Darlene, frustrated by her lack of success in real estate, decides to advertise.

Pink Freud
Bill brags to Anne (untruthfully) that his ragged garage band has a gig, so he has to find one---and persuade his mates to play. And in therapy, he tells the group to find their voices. This troubles Dave because his soon-to-visit mother never talks about anything substantive. And Jonathan takes the message to heart at his gym, where he has trouble dealing with nudity in the locker room.

Sasha's Birthday BBQ
Bill vies with his estranged wife's boyfriend for his daughter Sasha's attention at her 22nd-birthday party; Inger tries to "nurture" her relationship with a guy she likes (to him it's stalking); Jonathan lies to his wife about his companion for a Knicks game; and Michael and Darlene want to have sex, but their combative personalities get in the way.

Inger Management
Bill's bothered by the fact that Inger's also seeing a life coach. Then he meets her, and while he can't stand her professional approach, he finds her very appealing in other ways. Meanwhile, Inger works on her "intimacy issues" with Dave; Jonathan's jealous of a coworker who reminds him of himself; and Darlene suggests to Michael that he write a screenplay.

Raging Bill
Bill's new patient is a boxer who can't get mad enough to fight---until he takes an instant dislike to Dave. Meanwhile, Inger's latest JDate is also Asian, and neither will admit to not being Jewish; and Michael refuses to concede video-game defeat to his assistant, Parvesh.

Perverse Psychology
Dave starts dating Bill's daughter, Sasha, and Bill sets out to break them up until a colleague gives him some professional advice. Meanwhile, Inger decides to stop her noisy next-door neighbors from fighting; and Darlene breaks up with Michael (who becomes outraged), then meets Sasha's ex-boyfriend Ira, and the two immediately hit it off. After all, they both idolize Bill.

Perseverence
It's party time for Bill and the group. For Dave, it's a blowout thrown by a female coworker he has his eye on, but pre-party hunger pangs do him in. Jonathan invites everyone to celebrate his birthday---by standing in line for hours for frozen yogurt. Inger and the feuding Darlene and Michael show up. And Bill throws a raucous, if boring, beer bash at Anne's house (she's away) to impress a woman he's afraid to ask out.
