Maddy gives upsetting news to her boyfriend, Cedric; Loretta enhances her image; Kayla goes on a hunger strike for a worthy cause.

Loretta meddles in Maddy's love life; Victor makes Shante feel special; Kayla is suspicious that her boyfriend is cheating.

50/50
Maddy pushes for full, legal custody of her unborn child in an effort to mimic her and Victor's paperless agreement with Shante. Loretta helps Shante keep a car accident from her parents, and buys lingerie to help prepare Maddy for her first sexy encounter with Cedric. Meanwhile, Kayla, still depressed about the demise of her last relationship, meets an unlikely suitor.

A Moving Story
When Maddy forbids Shante to see her boyfriend, Kevin, as long as she's under her roof, Shante decides to move in with Victor. As Maddy struggles to deal with the side effects of her pregnancy, especially as it pertains to her professional life, Kayla tries to reject the advances of her new admirer. Loretta realizes that her 20/20 vision may be gone for good.

She's Back
Maddy is more than irritated when she learns that Victor's perky, perfect ex-wife, Carmen, is back in the picture, and bonding with Shante no less. Maddy gives Kayla a sealed envelope so that she can bake a cake to reveal the baby's gender at a reveal party. Loretta is desperate to be in the know and goes to great measures to get the information.

High School Deja Vu
When Maddy meets a couple of pregnant, successful women like herself, she's excited until she realizes they act just like mean high school girls. Meanwhile, Marcus is afraid that he may soon be a father, and Kayla realizes she must come out of the closet with her interracial relationship.

When Positive Is Negative
Finally fed up with Victor and Cedric's competitive ways, Maddy insists they make peace, but is shocked to realize that she is just as competitive with Victor's ex-wife, Carmen. Shante fears the worst when her period is late, and Loretta worries that she may be entering menopause.
