Since her husband Manuel disappeared without a trace two years ago, nothing has been the same for single mother Kathi (Mandy Neidig). Mandy was left behind by Manuel with their children Marie (17) and Kai (12), a mountain of debt and many unanswered questions. One day, Kathi and her children are involved in a serious accident, but suddenly a strange man appears out of nowhere and saves the family's life. From the moment Kathi is fascinated by the heroic Robert. She begins to fall in love with him. What she doesn't realize, however, is that the rescue was no coincidence. The mysterious helper has a momentous secret: he knows the real reason for Manuel's disappearance...
