Police officers Mardik and Shannon are called at night for a bomb threat at Amsterdam Central Station. The next day, Mardik has to report to the office for an investigation by AIVD detective Joëlle. Does he still have contact with people from the past?

The AIVD investigation influences the choices of Mardik and his family, which only sharpens the AIVD investigation. A shocking report arrives at the control room of the Amsterdam police about a bus on a market square. When Mardik suspects his old childhood friend Faysal's involvement, Shannon joins the investigation.
