After preventing a major attack in the Netherlands in the first season, Mardik discovers that a much larger conspiracy has been set in motion.

An international conference in Amsterdam descends into chaos and violence, followed by a violent hostage situation, when heavily armed men storm the building. Hundreds of visitors are locked in, the demands are harsh and personal. Nigel leads the operation, but loses control. Joëlle chooses a dangerous route, while Mardik becomes the explicit target of the hostage-takers. He realizes that the hostage situation is not just an incident—it is the beginning of a plan that turns out to be much bigger and deadlier than expected.

Stick to the plan
The hostage situation takes a terrible turn, which deeply affects Joëlle. Nigel negotiates, but gets stuck. Driven by anger and revenge, Joëlle discovers that someone from the police is involved in the plot. She tries to get in touch with him. Max is in danger of falling into the wrong hands. Mardik tries to stay out of the hands of his pursuers and wants to contact Michelle and Pip. The plan of the perpetrators of the hostage-taking becomes increasingly clear and increasingly deadly.

Europa in brand
After the hostage-taking, the city turns into a powder keg. Riots, reprisals, and fear sweep across the Netherlands. While the streets explode and Joëlle follows clues to Brussels, Mardik realizes that the terrorists now have his family directly in their sights. In Brussels, Frederique discovers that the danger is greater than any one country can handle and that the threat does not stop at the Netherlands, but has penetrated deep into European institutions. The violence in the streets turns out to be part of a network that wants to disrupt Europe.

On the surface, calm returns, but behind the scenes, chaos reigns supreme. Mardik discovers that Michelle and Pip are being held hostage and that Tigre is using them as leverage. To get closer to the terrorists, he ventures into a risky infiltration. Meanwhile, Joëlle and Frederique encounter a crucial link within Eurapol, where power and betrayal converge. Max becomes more deeply entangled in Gideon's grip, who mercilessly exploits his weaknesses. What appears to be safe turns out to be the preparation for a new attack. Tigre seems to hold all the cards when Mardik discovers a terrible truth.

The beginning
In Croatia, Tigre finally shows his darkest side. Mardik is in danger of losing what he holds most dear when Tigre manipulates and pressures him with Michelle and Pip. He has nowhere to turn when Tigre forces him to do the unthinkable. A ruthless attack in Brussels looms, and Mardik and Joëlle must do what they can—while saving Michelle and Pip. Max seems to have switched to the ‘dark side', but nothing is what it seems. The clock is ticking as the meeting in Brussels begins and even Michelle and Pip have been brought to the scene of the attack by Tigre. What seems like the end turns out to be only the beginning.
