Tibo Leemans breaks up with his lover and grows tired of unreliable Matti's constant failing and brooding over her dad and her own youth. Martin Baeten dies from a broken neck, apparently accidentally, in a jealous fight with her new fiancé, marketing consultant Steve Hoste, over Martin's ex, Mini Max supermarket chain HQ computer programmer Andrea Daniëls, on the Brussels street outside her home. The next day, someone breaks the seals at Martin's apartment. Russian mobster Vladimir Vasiliev is spotted lurking around. Andrea and Steve lie about their business connection and common med studies past.
