Based on Philip Pullman's third book The Amber Spyglass, the third season is the series last.
The rebellion against the Authority becomes open warfare, with Asriel working to build a new Republic of Heaven. But to achieve his ends he needs the Subtle Knife, which is currently in Will's hands.

The Enchanted Sleeper
Held captive in the hands of Mrs Coulter, a dreaming Lyra finds herself in a mysterious place with someone familiar - Roger. Will continues with his quest to find Lyra, meeting unexpected allies along the way. Asriel journeys through the worlds in his recruitment drive for his war against the Authority. In Geneva, ‘Father President' MacPhail meets a devoted young priest, Father Gomez, and sends him on a special mission.

The Break
Asriel's plans change when unexpected angelic visitors crash into his republic, bringing vital information with them. Mrs Coulter risks everything to protect her daughter. Mary follows her I-Ching into a new world and meets two young sisters. Will tries to save Lyra from Mrs Coulter and the Magisterium, but it comes at a great personal cost.

The Intention Craft
Lyra and Will are reunited in a new world, but they disagree on the journey ahead. Meanwhile, Mrs Coulter is put on trial in Asriel's republic and pleads her case for finding Lyra. And at the Magisterium, MacPhail prepares a new weapon to destroy ‘Eve'. Lyra and Will seek help from Iorek to fix the Subtle Knife, before reaching an agreement to go to the Land of the Dead together. Asriel decides to provoke Metatron, leading Mrs Coulter to make a decision.

Lyra and Her Death
Lyra and Will journey through the Suburbs of the Dead and reach a seemingly infinite bureaucratic space. Mrs Coulter arrives at the Magisterium and tries to convince MacPhail of her allegiance in order to save Lyra. Mary begins to question her path, but she is buoyed by the unexpected appearance of a very unusual creature.

No Way Out
In the world of the mulefa, Mary makes a heartbreaking discovery. Lyra and Will journey through the Land of the Dead in search of Roger, encountering ghosts who hide in the darkness, terrified of the creatures who fly above. At the Magisterium, an imprisoned Mrs Coulter tries to bring Dr Cooper on side. As Lyra and Will find Roger and vow to liberate the ghosts from their torment, Mrs Coulter puts her life on the line to thwart MacPhail. But can she stop him in time?

The Abyss
As Metatron's abyss rips through the worlds, sucking Dust into its depths, Lyra and Will attempt to lead the ghosts out of the Land of the Dead.

The Clouded Mountain
As the Clouded Mountain approaches, Mrs Coulter, Asriel and his council discuss their battle strategy. In the Land of the Dead, Lyra and Will deliberate their next move. After a rousing speech to the troops, the battle begins, and Asriel and Mrs Coulter face Metatron, risking everything to protect Lyra.

The Botanic Garden
In the world of the mulefa, Lyra and Will reunite with Mary and hear a story that changes everything. But Father Gomez is also in this world, intent on killing ‘Eve'. Whilst searching for their daemons, Lyra comes close to danger but is saved by a forgotten ally. After an emotional reunion with their daemons, Lyra and Will are given a heartbreaking choice by Xaphania and Serafina. Lyra and Will must decide what they are willing to sacrifice if they are to save the worlds.
