The Toddfather Returns
The first family of gold are back with their biggest gamble yet. Todd Hoffman, his father Jack, and son Hunter tackle a gold-rich Alaskan mine with ragged equipment and a rookie crew. They have seven weeks to find gold before winter freezes them out.

Todd's Hot Mess
Todd must deliver 300 ounces of gold in just seven weeks. To make it happen, his first step is getting Hot Mess, a massive broken-down wash plant, up and running. Later, Todd goes rogue and opens a new cut behind the mine owner's back.

Desperate to run more paydirt, Todd fires up Big Trommel, but the plant is so worn-out, Todd's nicknamed it `Hot Mess'. The team try fix after fix to keep the plant running and chase their million-dollar goal.

Jack Attack

Fortune in the Wash
To hit his million-dollar goal, Todd pushes his team to get a third wash plant delivering gold. As the mine ramps up, the road system needs to be overhauled so they can keep pay dirt moving before the deep freeze.

Hunter takes on the Arctic tundra when a geologist's lead points to crazy gold on the edge of the Hoffman claim; at camp, Andy works to turn paydirt from an ancient river channel into a big pay-off.

The Mother Lode
The Hoffmans discover a huge vein of gold that could save their season if they can get it out of the ground in time; as the mine equipment fails, pressure mounts on their mechanic, Randy, to keep it all running.

Bless This Hot Mess
With their million-dollar goal in sight, the Hoffmans' best working wash plant breaks down and can't be repaired; Todd's last shot is to get the Hot Mess up and running during an arctic freeze.

No Gold, No Glory
As Alaska's brutal winter threatens to end his season, Todd only needs 47 more ounces of gold to reach his million-dollar goal, so he works the night shift to keep paydirt moving. The final gold weigh might be a big win for Todd or another disaster.

The Ministry of Time
The Ministry of Time, a newly established government department, is gathering ‘expats' from across history in an experiment to test the viability of time-travel. Commander Graham Gore (an officer on Sir John Franklin's doomed 1845 Arctic expedition) is one such figure rescued from certain death – alongside an army captain from the fields of the Somme, a plague victim from the 1600s, a widow from revolutionary France, and a soldier from the seventeenth century.
The expats are placed with 21st century liaisons, known as 'bridges', in unlikely flatshares. Gore has to learn about contemporary life from scratch: from air travel to industrial warfare, from feminism to Spotify, from cinema to indoor plumbing; and he must negotiate cohabiting with the ambitious modern woman who works as his bridge. After an awkward beginning, the pair start to find pleasure and comfort in each other's company, developing a relationship that is simultaneously tender, intense and profoundly unprofessional; and the expats, adrift in a new era, form friendships that ground and support them in the lonely 21st century, where they have outlived everyone they ever knew and loved.
When a deeper conspiracy at the Ministry begins to reveal itself, the bridge must reckon with what she does next. Will she save or sacrifice the exiled misfits she has come to care for so deeply?
