Sharleen Spiteri and Leon Jackson join legendary ambassadors of Scottish traditional music Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain as BBC Scotland first-foots the nation and promises to bring in the new year with a bang.

Scots singer and songwriter Sharleen Spiteri will perform tracks from her acclaimed debut solo album Melody, which is said to be influenced by a myriad of musical styles including Nancy Sinatra, Johnny Cash and Motown.

And after a whirlwind year of recording and touring, X Factor winner Leon Jackson makes a triumphant return home to Scotland to celebrate Hogmanay in style. He will be performing tracks from his debut album, Right Now, including his recent hit Don't Call This Love.

Jam packed with surprises and celebrity guests, it promises to be a night to remember.
