Angelo takes Alf's advice not to keep secrets with his lover, but when Carlie hears he was attracted to younger Shandi Ayres, even though he did nothing, she jealously, spitefully walks out on him. After a gloomy day in Miles's class with gold-fish Marilyn, Dex returns the substitute sweetheart to the pet shop, which leads to date with its Goth clerk Adrian Hall. Dexter goes on a date with Adrian, Romeo encourages Indigo to contact her mum and a dying Mitzy has differing revelations for Marilyn and Sid.

While Marilyn has to cope with Mitzy's funeral, Dexter tries to make things up with Adrian and Ruby persuades Charlie to give her a driving lesson.

Romeo tries to have faith in Indy, but she 'lost',actually stole, a letter from his ex Annie, and ignores paternal advice by steam-opening it before 'finding' and returning it. Xavier can't accept or even believe Palmer and his ma just give upon the love they forced him to accept, yet has to step back after John moves out. Penn feels the return of terrible migraine which seems to force him to do his parents contradictory promises, amounting to revenge on Alf and all his mates. Penn tells Colleen all rumors about him are trough, intrudes Miles's place and defiles all pictures of his loved-ones alike Alf's. Prince Vittorio slickly maneuvers April and bride Bianca to admit neither has a valid reason to question or effectively put off the wedding, yet no date is set. Dex tricks Adrian to meet him again but only achieves a 'clean break-up', yet Sid and Marilyn have a heard time finding out his mood and how it cam to be.
