Hearth of the Home

A young couple in search of a more chill space for entertaining and relaxing take Josh Temple up on his offer to transform their living and dining room into a connected, welcoming gathering spot for friends and family. In the process, their oversized wall housing a standard fireplace gets a sleeker frame without sacrificing warmth. The new burner offers views from the front yard through to the back and includes a floor-to- ceiling leather tile face, inset TV, and a beefy hearth hugging the structure. The spacious new layout embraces people hubs like the bar cabinet with wraparound storage shelves, mirrored backsplash and wine fridge, a rustic dining table topped with patina'd metal framed in mix-and-match chairs, and accordion doors that beckon party-goers into the backyard. Add in custom multi-leveled bookshelves anchored by a sumptuous hardwood floor, and this Pacific Northwest space is set to heat up a lifetime of celebrations.

Family Guy

Family Guy follows Peter Griffin the endearingly ignorant dad, and his hilariously offbeat family of middle-class New Englanders in Quahog, RI. Lois is Peter's wife, a stay-at-home mom with no patience for her family's antics. Then there are their kids: 18-year-old Meg is an outcast at school and the Griffin family punching bag; 13-year-old Chris is a socially awkward teen who doesn't have a clue about the opposite sex; and one-year-old Stewie is a diabolically clever baby whose burgeoning sexuality is very much a work in progress. Rounding out the Griffin household is Brian the family dog and a ladies' man who is one step away from AA.

EastEnders

Set in the East End of London, the show focuses on the tensions between love and family with stories ranging from hard-hitting social issues, to personal, human tragedies. And there's plenty of funny moments too.

Classic characters old and new across thousands of episodes have shared a drink in The Queen Vic, shed tears of despair or joy, sat on Arthur's bench in the Square... and at some point or other they probably crossed paths with Ian Beale.
