Reno Budget Down the Drain
John, Sarah and their three young children recently relocated to Southern California and are eager to buy a home in Thousand Oaks. Working with an $860,000 budget, they hope to find something with a large backyard and an updated master bathroom. Sarah would like a ranch home with a contemporary farmhouse style, while John would prefer a Spanish-style home with clean lines and a modern vibe. They also have deal-breakers, like John's hatred of round design elements and Sarah not wanting a drain in the middle of the shower floor. They finally find a home and start renovations but pricey issues keep popping up that hurt both their timeline and their budget. Will the stress and headaches be worth it in the end?
