The gang are left shaken after Alfie's near miss and Fabian recruits Joy as strategist - they've got to win this game somehow. Nina learns that every chosen one has a special champion to protect her. Trudy calls a doctor to help her get her memory back, but a desperate Vera decides to intervene by canceling Trudy's real appointment and asking someone to pretend to be her doctor. Fabian sees Victor playing senet. Alfie and Amber decide to spy on her and the doctor and find out that the "doctor" placed fake memories into Trudy's head and that Vera wants to do the same to Sibuna. Meanwhile, Joy tries to get to grips with the Senet Task at the library when a secret man who was Trudy's doctor visits Jasper and takes off his mask...
