Avril waits to see if Charles agrees with her business proposals. A depressed Polly employs an interior designer while her relationship with Gerald becomes distant. Jan employs Anna Lee, a young design student. Charles is distracted from work by his father's presence. After Tom discusses his divorce with Jan, he and Avril agree their relationship is over.
