Charles' trial begins and Jack is convinced Avril harbours feelings for Charles. Meanwhile, she is still experiencing difficulty closing the Fernandez deal. Kate is concerned about the impact the new marina development will have on the Mermaid Yard and Vanessa is surprised to learn about the scheme. Jack has difficulty dealing with memories of late his wife. Ken's testimony clearly implicates Charles and Gerald of fraud.
