Su Tai Ying is a medic in World War II deployed to China to act as a Japanese military doctor. After enduring much internal turmoil when his allegiance was split between his Japanese ruler and his Chinese ancestry. After the war, he has been saved by a Chinese general when he was planned to be executed with the rest of the Japanese soldiers, but now he has to find a way home, back to Taiwan.
