"Set in 1920s Shanghai, a city teeming with mystery, cultural fusion, and intrigue, Tianyuan Zhan and Liu Weiyi co-found a private detective agency. Both secretly in love with their childhood friend, Rong Shaojuan, their bond is shattered when Shaojuan tragically dies in a car accident while helping Tianyuan on a case. Blaming each other, the two part ways, and Weiyi joins the police force. Meanwhile, Xiang Jingrong, mysteriously tied to the accident, vanishes without a trace. Her daughter, Zhang Ziqing, returns from abroad to search for her missing mother. By twist of fate, she joins Tianyuan's detective agency, and together they begin investigating a series of seemingly unrelated and baffling cases, only to uncover a shadowy criminal organization led by the elusive and dangerous Mr. Bai. As Weiyi pursues the truth from within the police force, his path gradually converges with Tianyuan's. Despite past conflicts, they find themselves fighting a common enemy. In the end, with courage and cleverness, Tianyuan and his allies dismantle the criminal empire and expose Mr. Bai's sinister plot, ultimately paving the way for justice, closure, and new beginnings in both life and love."
