Young, a half-Taiwanese and half-Vietnamese girl, and Tung, an eccentric art enthusiast, are best friends despite the huge differences in their personalities. Young asks Tung to join the Folk Dance Club with her, so she could get close to Shao, the boy she fancies. Full of fantastic ideas, Tung puts all her thoughts in her diary. One day, to her dismay, she loses the diary in the café when a fight between several boys breaks out, and those who are involved include Shao and two other Folk Dance Club members, Yen and Sheng. The lost diary soon connects the lives of these five teenagers to one another.
