Palermo, 1972. Colonel dalla Chiesa, commander of the Legion of Palermo, was appointed General and transferred to Turin together with his family. The city is crossed by tensions and workers' demonstrations. But there is a group of extremists who immediately worry the Church more than the others: the Red Brigades. Their increasingly violent actions culminate in the kidnapping of judge Mario Sossi. From the Church he obtained permission from the Minister of the Interior to form a new structure, the special anti-terrorism unit.
