Testori realizes that Iaccarino understood that Lackovic wanted to get the successor of the jihad leader Abu Asifah to escape from the San Michele. The director then understands that Massini is investigating on behalf of Lombardo and confronts her by confessing that she had killed Lackovic to avenge Iaccarino's death.
