Illegal - Season 3

The series resumes with Niharika and Puneet running Juris Associates. Puneet focuses on helping NGOs, while Niharika aims to make the firm top in Delhi. Tensions rise when an industrialist hires Niharika. Akshay returns from London, seeking to mend things with Niharika. Meanwhile, JJ tries to reconnect with Akshay, who remains distant after learning of JJ's role in his mother's murder.

At a political gathering, JJ is stunned to learn that Mrinalini is the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. Akshay and Niharika's relationship flourishes, but Niharika feels guilty for Akshay's health issues, knowing she revealed JJ's involvement in his mother's murder. Dushyant's wife accuses him of domestic violence, and Niharika agrees to represent him in exchange for making Juris Associates the exclusive firm for Jinglepur Industries. Eventually, Puneet and Niharika part ways as partners.

Randeep visits Delhi from Meerut to meet JJ, who insists that Randeep should go into hiding. Their conversation is interrupted when someone secretly takes their picture. Zoya Ahmed, Niharika's opposing lawyer, joins forces with Akshay's firm, Jaitely and Associates, while conspiring to destroy Niharika and regain Jinglepur Industries as their client. A series of events leads to Dushyant's arrest, putting Niharika in a difficult situation.

JJ convinces Puneet that Dushyant was responsible for the stone pelting incident. Niharika successfully gets Dushyant out on bail and decides to counterattack Atisha and Zoya with a defamation case. As a result of her actions, Niharika is bombarded with hateful messages. She is planning her next move when Nikhil, a young boy suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, visits Juris with his mother and wants Niharika to accept his case and petition for active euthanasia but is dismissed by her.

JJ relentlessly orders goons to attack the son of a tribal leader, Lakhan Mandal. Mrinalini retaliates by providing Akshay with proof that JJ is still in contact with Randeep. Meanwhile, Niharika defends Nikhil against Puneet, appealing for mercy from the judge who seeks a medical expert's opinion. On the personal front, Puneet grapples with a crisis when he and Sue are faced with an unusual choice: either abort their child or bring it into the world.

JJ blackmails Lakhan Mandal to smear Dushyant's name in the press for the safety of his son. Shanaya attends Dushyant's hearing, where a surprise witness for the next hearing emerges - Dushyant's ex-girlfriend, with whom he had been violent back in college.

Media frenzy accuses Akshay of having lost his mind. To add fuel to the fire, Niharika informs him that Jaitely & Associates will represent JJ in court. Akshay's rage leads to his expulsion from the company by SK, under JJ's orders.

Niharika reluctantly takes on JJ's case after he reveals that a delirious Akshay was the one who killed Randeep. In the court, Niharika pulls off the unthinkable as she deflects Randeep's murder to protect both Akshay and JJ.
