Imposter: The Man Who Came Back from the Dead - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Episode 1
Documentary telling the story of a man in a Glasgow hospital who awoke from a Covid coma to discover that the police had identified him as a fugitive from justice and one of America's most wanted criminals. He maintained that this was a case of mistaken identity - but was he an extraordinary criminal, constantly changing his name and identity, or a wronged innocent thrown into a limelight he did not deserve?

Episode 2
Arthur Knight rails against the injustice of his incarceration, and his distressed wife Miranda is at a loss as to what they can do to get their lives back. But there's hope when he rolls back his sleeves for an investigating journalist and the supposedly incriminating tattoos that match Nicholas Rossi's are nowhere to be seen. Plus, Rossi victim Mary Grebinski describes the shocking assault by Rossi when she was 19 years old and the extraordinary aftermath in which Rossi takes legal action against her for reputational damage.

Episode 3
A possible explanation for the missing tattoos, and further fingerprint and dental evidence linking Arthur Knight to Nicholas Rossi, emerge as the Scottish Court categorically affirms that Rossi and Knight are one and the same person. It's still uncertain whether his English wife is a victim or a collaborator. Rossi's Mormon ex-wife, Kathryn, reveals the horror of her brief marriage to the narcissist and his stepfather, Engelbert Humperdinck impersonator David Rossi, opens a window onto the turbulent early years of Rossi's life.

Episode 4
From behind bars in Scotland, Rossi goes on the offensive. Unleashing an old and discredited report, he whips up a media storm against his American prosecutor alleging paedophile and cannibal crimes but to no avail. The extradition moves forward, and Rossi is flown back to Utah to face trial for alleged sexual offences.
