In the Eye of the Storm: Chasers - Season 1

In the premiere episode, veteran chasers and a new generation of storm spotters and weather streamers compete for position during one of the season's most volatile tornado outbreaks. As a photogenic twister approaches the small town of Gary, South Dakota, each chaser angles to get ahead of the storm. But when extreme meteorologist Reed Timmer arrives with his high-tech armored vehicle, called "the Dominator," an unexpected fender bender disrupts the chase. Back on course, the chasers catch up with the fast-moving twister, but as it intensifies to EF-3 strength, it takes a terrifying turn. Realizing the tornado is about to destroy a farmhouse, chasers Brandon Copic and Will Vollman shift from storm chasers to first responders, launching a search-and-rescue mission inside the wreckage with the tornado still in sight.   

Six teams of chasers pursue a violent tornado outbreak in North Dakota. But as day turns to night, the storm unleashes the first EF5 tornado in over a decade. As the mile-wide monster levels homes and farms, chasers race to rescue people and pets.

Top chasers track a stunning tornado outbreak in eastern South Dakota. When a violent EF2 blows through a farmstead, Brandon and Tanner race to the scene. Connor gets his best tornado of the season as Jordan teaches his brother the art of the chase.

Six teams of chasers brave Oklahoma backroads as a late spring warm front unleashes long-track tornadoes. As the biggest twister grows to EF-3 strength it destroys a weed farm and forces Reed onto dirt roads to make a drone intercept in the Dominator.

While chasing a monster in Alabama, Sarah parts ways with Reed moments before he takes the Dominator for a literal spin inside a tornado. Gorilla hail bombards Freddy & Connor's chase vehicles. Brandon, Jordan & Aaron intercept a tornado at a gas station.

A rare northern outbreak draws veteran chasers across the Canadian border into unfamiliar territory. Back on home turf, Freddy, Tanner, and Connor race across Nebraska in pursuit of a powerful, long-lived twister that earns the title Tornado of the Year.

In mid-May 2025, hundreds of eyewitnesses capture the terrifying power of severe weather as supercell thunderstorms unleash dozens of powerful tornadoes, tossing vehicles across highways and destroying neighborhoods and workplaces in eleven states.
