Episode 1
When law-abiding space cop Ash Harper is convicted of a crime she did not commit, she is sentenced to exile and loaded onto prison spaceship the Hemlock. Her mother Rebecca, who is head of galactic security, is determined to prove her daughter's innocence and bring her safely home, but any hopes of a reunion are dashed when Ash's fellow convicts overthrow the guards and hijack the Hemlock.

Episode 2
As the Hemlock fugitives try to salvage their crash-landed ship, Ash makes her escape through an alien desert. A gangster has a deal. Common World leaders contact Ash and task her with apprehending one of their enemies, her shipmate Emma. Emma reveals that she knows Arcadia's coordinates.

Episode 3
Drifting through space without coordinates, the gang realise the Hemlock is running out of power. The solution - rob a fuel reserve. So, Ash, Verona, and Echo venture to a Common World planet in search of fuel. Rebecca discovers that her husband framed Ash.

Episode 4
After the robbery, the authorities are closing in on the gang. With a sky-high bounty on their heads, it's time to abandon ship... The mutiny dodges an evil scientist and discovers Emma's association with new aurum, an energy source. Emma secretly puts Ash in a coma.

Episode 5
In search of medical attention, the Hemlock stops at Candy's home planet of Skov. However, the destination is in some trouble.

Episode 6
Tensions run high after Emma's capture and Ash finds herself alone. Meanwhile, the band make a discovery aboard the ship.

Episode 7
Opinions are divided as Ash suggests a risky rescue mission on Emma's behalf. Could a poker game provide better odds?

Episode 8
As the crew embark on the final leg of their journey to Arcadia, a collision with an asteroid causes problems.
