Episode 1
Ed begins by challenging the dads to navigate their way through the jungle to find their children, their journey includes a leap of faith from a 25ft cliff into deep water. One dad's overconfidence comes back to bite him while another realises just how much he is capable of if it means being reunited with his son. The teams then explore the depths of an ancient sinkhole, thought by Mayans to be the entrance to the underworld, with the fastest way to the bottom being a 160ft abseil.

Episode 2
This time the dads and kids must forage for their evening meal, but the idea of eating live jungle critters - including spiders - proves too much for some. The next day, Ed promises the group a slap-up meal, if they can catch and kill it themselves. Heading out to one of Belize's 200 island cays, the dads and kids must build rafts strong enough to take them out to sea to dive for lobsters but as a storm brews, events take a dramatic turn.

Episode 3
As jungle life takes its toll on Ed's expedition group, he decides to shake things up by mixing the pairings. Each of the kids inherits a new dad for the day. The dads must lead the way through the boiling heat of Mountain Pine Ridge to the top of Big Rock Falls, where together they must cross a towering waterfall across a jungle ravine. Jeff questions if he's been too hard on his son Akai, while Ben realises that he needs to bring the fun back into his family life and 12-year-old Dexter bonds with his dad Christian over their shared differences.

Episode 4
Ed leads the group deeper into the jungle where they spend their first night sleeping wild. On their trek to their jungle camp, Jethro realises just how good the outdoors has been for Dexter, who has been getting in trouble at school, and also reflects on his own physical limitations. Once in camp, each of the dads must work with their child to put up their hammocks before trying to sleep amid a cacophony of bugs, insects and howler monkeys. A snake makes an appearance in camp and the following morning Ed has a sunrise surprise for the group.

Episode 5
Ed lets the children loose in the jungle to show the dads what they're capable of but not everyone is comfortable with this newfound freedom and one dad loses his cool when the kids aren't back in camp after dark. Fourteen-year-old Roka steps up to help the younger members of the group.

Episode 6
The group face 48 hours without Ed's help, they must use everything they've learned to navigate the jungle, set up camp and ascend a 1,000 foot waterfall where Ed will be waiting for them at the summit. Given the choice of walking or swimming, the group break up and take different routes to an ancient cave complex, where some of them get lost. Tensions fray in a race against time to set up camp before darkness falls but the morning brings a final opportunity for the dads and kids to confront any lingering problems and reflect on life back home.
