After failing to absorb Kagome's soul, Kanna retreats at Kagura's call. Inuyasha attacks Kagura with the Wind Scar, but the blast is reflected back by Kanna's mirror, resulting in a devastating counterattack. Then Naraku appears, revealing that both Kagura and Kanna were born from him, and that Kikyo gave him the Shikon Jewel shard she stole from Kagome…

Tetsusaiga Breaks
Badly wounded, Inuyasha is summoned by Kikyo using Soul Collectors. She tells him not to die until she destroys Naraku along with the Shikon Jewel. Later, Inuyasha rejoins Kagome and the others, but Kagome is upset after seeing him protect Kikyo. Meanwhile, Naraku sends his third incarnation, Goshinki, after them as a deadly new assassin…

Kaijinbo's Evil Sword
Totosai takes on the task of repairing the Tetsusaiga, which was broken during the battle with Goshinki. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru takes Goshinki's fang and gives it to Kaijinbo, a swordsmith demon. Using the fang, Kaijinbo forges a cursed sword called Tokijin. Controlled by the sword's hatred, Kaijinbo attacks Inuyasha. On the night of the new moon, Inuyasha loses his demon powers and becomes human, forcing Miroku to fight and stop the crazed swordsman…
