Iolo Williams explores the valleys north of Swansea. He finds dippers and kingfishers nesting on once-polluted rivers, and Wales's rarest nesting bird, the honey buzzard.
Episode 2
Iolo Williams explores the valleys inland from Port Talbot in south Wales. He finds adders on a rugby pitch, hears the haunting sounds of a nightjar and watches a barn owl hunting.
Episode 3
Iolo Williams heads up the Taff, Cynon and Rhondda to find sand martins at an old ironworks, a stunning wetland, insects thriving on a coal tip, and makes friends with a fox.
Episode 4
Iolo Williams goes up the valleys from Newport and gets a rare view of a long-eared owl. Another treat is a marble white butterfly. Also peregrines and lapwings on coal tips.
