Island Explorers - Season 1

Season 1
Adventure-loving explorers Jeremy and Wendy Gilbert reveal the greatest off-the-beaten-path spots and "locals only" experiences throughout the Hawaiian Islands in Travel Channel's new series "Island Explorers." Premiering Sunday, July 3 with back-to-back episodes at 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET/PT, the series highlights activities like diving with sharks and zip-lining and is part of "Dive Into Summer" – Travel Channel's summer programming lineup that showcases the world's ultimate water paradises with a touch of fun, sun, thrills and adventure.
While some activities in "Island Explorers" are a bit daring, there's plenty of insider information for the best places to eat, explore and escape at a more relaxing pace. From the most elusive hidden beach on Kauai to the coolest thing to do on the Big Island after the sun goes down, the Gilberts share some of Hawaii's best kept secrets that travelers won't find in any guidebook.
In the premiere episode, the Gilberts explore Oahu, the most visited of the Hawaiian Islands for vacationers. Jeremy and Wendy venture beyond the familiar attractions and off the usual tourist trail to reveal the number one way to catch the sunrise, find the best local snack in Honolulu, kayak to a secluded beach and have a thrilling underwater adventure with the kings of the ocean.
