Olympic race walking, contested over 50km and 20km for men, and 20km for women, is a grueling sport with strict rules on walking technique that result in frequent disqualification. Despite being an individual event, Japanese athletes are approaching the sport as a team, focusing on form, information sharing, and a well-organized support network during races.
