Now that Jin has Koan Ogata, the supervisor of the Western Medicinal Office for the village, and his team on his side, Jin begins to create a large-scale plan. He asks if rubber hoses exist and if a syringe needle can be made to create an IV drip. The town begins to make saline solution, sterilize everything with alcohol, and burying waste and burnt clothes in large ditches. Ryoma takes it upon himself to be the leader of waste disposal.
