Season 4
A new series of John & Lisa's Weekend Kitchen returns to ITV for Saturday mornings.
Series four of the successful cookery show, with husband and wife duo John Torode and Lisa Faulkner, was filmed at the Television Centre studios in London during lockdown. Adhering to social distancing measures amid the Covid-19 crisis, the series was filmed with a minimal crew and following all necessary health and safety advice.
The nation is cooking more than ever and in this new series professional chef John and home cook Lisa will be able to help viewers easily answer the ‘What's for tea?' question, with their accessible, imaginative and easy-to-cook ideas for family meal times. Each episode will have a different food theme and the pair will be using easy to source ingredients that viewers will have in their cupboard, fridge or freezer as well as providing plenty of alternatives and at-home hacks.
New to the series, John and Lisa will also feature special how-to demos on techniques which they prove aren't as complicated as some cooks may imagine. From showing how easy it really can be to make pasta without a machine or how to prep and get the best out of an aubergine.
Episodes

All Greek to Me
In the first episode of the new series the food theme is ‘It's All Greek to Me', where John and Lisa will provide viewers at home with simple and sunny Greek inspired flavours. Recipes include roast Greek lamb with orzo and olives, prawn saganaki pies, veggie cheat's moussaka and a super easy baklava for dessert.

From Freezer to Fork
The couple are using ingredients you can easily find in the kitchen cupboard or freezer to create a host of imaginative yet simple dishes. Starting with a fish chowder served in a gorgeous bread bowl, followed by handmade pasta made with only three ingredients and not a machine in sight. Later, there's a zesty beautiful sauce to accompany the pasta, and French toast berry muffins for dessert.

Retro Revival
The show is bringing some old classics back to the table this week as the couple put a fresh spin on some retro favourites.
They start with mackerel pâté and smoked salmon mousse (served with pickled cucumber), followed by chicken kiev with a side of delicious butter bean mash.
Next, Lisa introduces John to an arctic roll, before rounding off with a summer cocktail and a jelly dessert.

Our Take on the Orient
John Torode and Lisa Faulkner prepare a feast of Asian food, beginning with prawn satay served with smashed cucumber. John makes a Chinese-style pot roast chicken, while Lisa prepares her favourite Thai curry with a lychee granita for dessert.

Super Salads
John Torode and Lisa Faulkner serve up their favourite summery salads, including a spiced lentil and salmon centrepiece, chicken caesar salad and a Vietnamese-inspired beef noodle salad. This is followed by macerated strawberries with shortbread for dessert.

A Taste of the Med
John Torode and Lisa Faulkner prepare a taste of the Mediterranean. On the menu are bruschetta served three ways, beetroot risotto with goat's cheese, and baked cod and tapenade served with ratatouille. To finish off, there is a cheat's tiramisu for dessert.

Episode 7
The show is full of dishes all the family will love to share this week.
John has an amazing pork belly served with Lisa's legendary potato salad and a salsa verde.
Then there is Lisa's vegetarian stuffed squash - which is as simple as it is delicious - and, for dessert, John makes an incredible chocolate and coconut pie.

Episode 8
The duo are celebrating the best of holidays at home in their Weekend Kitchen, with a host of dishes perfect for enjoying in the great outdoors.
They start with spicy crab cake rolls served with Lisa's lovely thousand island dressing, before making John's favourite cheese and sweet potato slices.Later, there are John's classic donuts - with both sweet and savoury fillings - plus homemade ginger beer and tropical lollies for dessert.

Episode 9
John and Lisa are creating some of their favourite dishes from across the pond in their Weekend Kitchen. They start with fluffy American pancakes, served two ways, before making an easy peasy pizza base with a stuffed crust to go with it. Later, Lisa rustles up her cowboy beans served with loaded potato skins, and there are chocolate-chip cookie ice cream sandwiches for dessert.

Episode 10
John & Lisa's Weekend Kitchen has a menu perfect for enjoying inside or out. There's a Spiced Beer Can Chicken with Saffron Potatoes followed by gorgeous Homemade Dips & Crisps - a great accompaniment to John's Summer Cocktail! Later, John has his tips for cooking the perfect Gammon Steak to go with Lisa's Celeriac Remoulade. For pudding, Lisa has a beautiful Coconut and Polenta Cake with a Honey Syrup.
