At the same time, Amina, who was attempting to reach the airport, is arrested by the Taliban. Giovanni confronts the chaos of Abbey Gate, where he attempts to identify Italian refugees. Vera, surrounded by the Taliban, attempts to flee to Kabul with General Hassan.
