Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku - Season 1

While helping at his family's patisserie, Rintaro meets Kaoruko. He fears his appearance has scared her off — but she returns the next day to see him.

Tensions between the two schools escalate during a commotion at Chidori's gates. Later, Rintaro finds a surprise visitor waiting at the patisserie.

Desperate to improve their grades, Rintaro and Shohei cram in the library. There, Rintaro runs into Kaoruko, but their tender moment gets interrupted.

Though Rintaro becomes more comfortable with Kaoruko during their study session, he faces unexpectedly strong opposition to their growing bond.

Pressure mounts as Rintaro's friends discover a note from Kaoruko hidden in his notebook. Saku's frustration towards Rintaro's reticence grows.

It's an important night of confessions, apologies and cherished memories when Subaru and Kaoruko catch up at the park where they used to play as kids.

Noticing Rintaro's strange behavior, Shohei, Saku and Ayato follow him after school and try to eavesdrop on his meeting with Kaoruko and Subaru.

Despite the awkwardness, Rintaro manages to introduce his friends to the girls. Later, Kaoruko makes a bold suggestion on how Rintaro could repay her.

While Rintaro struggles with his tangled emotions about Kaoruko, he invites his friends over to his home — but two unexpected visitors shake things up.

To prepare for their finals, the six Chidori and Kikyo students hold a joint study session. Later, Shohei makes a sharp observation about Rintaro.

Kaoruko's birthday is in two weeks, and Rintaro is unsure of a gift until his mother gives valuable advice. Can he bake the perfect cake for her?

While everyone else is having fun at the beach, Subaru seems down. When prodded, she reveals her worries and makes a request to the four Chidori boys.

With things still left unspoken between them, Rintaro arranges to meet Kaoruko and express his true feelings. Kaoruko has her own thoughts to share.
