Alex convinces his son to turn the plane around. Fredrika meets a detained professor, whose release from custody is one of the hijackers' demands.

Despite his earlier suspicions, Erik asks Osman to help investigate the cargo hold, though is unsure how much he can trust the aircraft technician. Fredrika's doubts about Saïd's guilt grow. Karim takes a crucial step, further isolating himself.

Erik and Osman try to take action without the passengers noticing. While Alex hunts for Karim's family, Fredrika's investigation is taking a bizarre turn.
