A Little Shuck and a Whole Lotta Jive
Kaz finds himself ensnared in a moral and professional predicament after agreeing to defend a man accused of murdering a popular musician. This decision costs him dearly, as the victim's wife, once a close friend, cuts ties with Kaz upon learning of his plans. Despite the fallout, Kaz remains resolute, convinced that the animosity between the accused killer and the victim stemmed from allegations of infidelity. The accused, Johnny, is charged with the murder of Buddy, Anita's husband, complicating matters further since Buddy was also a personal friend of Kaz. Tensions rise as Anita directs blame toward Johnny's wife, Gail, accusing her of having an affair with Buddy. However, Johnny disputes this narrative, claiming instead that Buddy was the one who pursued Gail aggressively. These tangled relationships and conflicting accusations place Kaz in an emotionally charged and ethically challenging predicament.

Verdict in Department 12
Kaz suspects the surly judge presiding over his client's grand-theft case is mentally unbalanced following a rash of spasmodic rulings by the jurist as the new series begins.

A Case of Class
Samuel Bennett and Kaz agree to defend Bennett's college roommate Gregg Marsh, who is charged with grand theft and embezzlement, but Kaz suspects his boss's close friend is guilty.

The Slow Man
The testimony of a mentally retarded gas station attendant could acquit Kazinski's client of murder.

No Way to Treat a Lady
Defending a lady friend of Sam on a hit-and-run charge, Kaz becomes perplexed at the extravagance of her mysterious lifestyle.

Who's on First... and Sixth?
Kaz is in trouble with his girlfriend Katie. She wants to write a story about a baseball player, Kaz s supposed to represent in court. This baseball player allegedly beat up two fans who wanted an autograph. Kaz promises discretion.

Which Side Are You On?
Kaz returns to the prison where he served time to act as a negotiator in a takeover by the inmates.

In a Safe Place
A youth becomes the center of the DA's campaign against gang crime. A rash of teenage gang crimes puts the DA under pressure to use adult punishment on teenage offenders. Kaz's young defendant may go to prison if he cannot be proven innocent. A rash of violent teenage gang crimes sparks the district attorney's office into taking drastic measures against perpetrators, and Kaz's young defendant is the first who may suffer under the counterattack.

A Fine Romance
A full-scale war between Kaz and Peter Colcourt develops when Kaz takes on a case of Molly, a retired actress charged with shoplifting, and promptly falls in love with Linda. When Peter Colcourt turns down his sister Linda's request to defend an accused 72-year-old shoplifter, Molly, Kaz steps in to take over the case. In the process, he also falls in love with Linda Colcourt and enrages the District Attorney.

Kaz and the Kid
Kaz is entrusted with a girl when his client, a woman, is sent to jail on drug charges. But her father demands custody of his daughter. Kaz receives a surprise Christmas gift — guardianship over a mature 9-year-old girl — who turns his season into anything but jolly as he tries to keep her from the custody of her father, whom she despises.

A Case of Murder
Kaz and company try to defend David Faraday, who is on trial for murder, but he withholds vital information.

Conspiracy in Blue / The Blue Mafia
Kaz undertakes to defend two police officers charged by a burglary suspect who says one of them shot him while he was unarmed.

Kazinski Versus Bennett
Kaz finds he's a liability in the bid of his boss, Samuel Bennett (Patrick O'Neal), for political office. Kaz is defending a hospital purchasing agent on embezzlement charges and uncovers evidence incriminating a powerful political figure — his client's boss.

The Stalking Man
Kaz and Alfie, a fellow ex-con friend, are arrested on charges of car theft and conspiracy. Complicating matters, a vindictive police sergeant who arrested Kaz years earlier is determined to send them back to prison. Meanwhile, Kaz and his girlfriend also face charges of grand auto theft and conspiracy.

Trouble on the South Side / It's Libel to Be Trouble
When a priest asks for his assistance, Kaz has to investigate a powerful councilman, charged with stealing funds from his constituents who once helped him when he was in legal trouble.

Kaz faces disbarment when he defends Malloy's nephew from a robbery charge.

A Piece of Cake
A prostitute comes to Kaz for help after she stabs her ex-pimp.

They've Taken Our Daughter
Desperate parents kidnap their own daughter from a commune when they believe she is being brainwashed.

A Fool for a Client
Linda Lavin, of "Alice", guests as a convicted drug offender who rejects the hero's (Ron Liebman) offer of help and attempts to handle her own case. Kaz pursues the case anyway, and it's very dangerous for all hands.

The Battered Bride
Katie goads Kaz into defending her girlfriend, a battered wife, who kills her husband, when she can no longer endure his abuse.

The Avenging Angel
Kaz learns an invaluable but frightening lesson when he takes up a case. A young woman suffering from multiple split personalities is charged with the abhorrent murder of her stepfather. Kaz is assigned the case but faces too many obstacles in the woman's nature.
