Episode 1
Tian's family balances a careful peace amongst each other as there are ever moving players looking for advantages in the businesses and politics of the family. Chan, the mother of Tian's half-brother Yang, seeks out any opportunity she can to eliminate Tian as the next in line to inherit his fathers leadership role in the family.

Episode 2
Tian and Yang's strong bond as brothers continued into adulthood when Yang made good on his promise to take Tian to Chinese operas. However, during wartime between Thailand and Japan, their late night outings became a dangerous event, drawing the ire of their father.

Episode 3
Dong attempts to extort Madam Li after he overhears a private conversation between Tian and his mother. Meanwhile, Li attempts to force Tian to marry Pin to secure his role as his father's successor.

Episode 4
Dong's body is found by Bua sending Chan into a frenzy accusing Li of murder.

Episode 5
Ma urges the police to investigate the death of Dong, but when the casket is opened the body is unrecognizable. Tian later notices Jiu meeting with Ma and urges Jiu to end his business with Ma.

Episode 6
Tian and Yang team up to expose Ma's cheating within the company. Madam Li rushes ahead with planning Tian's wedding to Pin; a wedding he has no intentions of seeing through.

Episode 7
Jiu is assigned to kill Song's eldest son, but he does not immediately realize that son is Tian. Dr. Qi makes a revelation about the mysterious mushrooms growing at the Song household.

Episode 8
Tian hires Jiu to work for him at the Song residence. Song brings Dr. Qi to the residence to look into Jia's suspicious apothecary.

Episode 9
Emotions are on the rise at the Song household as Madam Li remains under suspicion of murdering Dong with the beetle orchid, Yang is accused of trying to steal Pin from Tian, and Yang begins to suspect that Jiu cannot be trusted either.

Episode 10
Desperate for her son to like women and conceive a child, Madame Li and Jia concoct a new type of orchid that will cause feelings of arousal for Tian and Pin.

Episode 11
Madame Li's plan to turn her son straight fails miserably after the intervention of Yang and Jui. Song receives news that Jui is Ma's underling.

Episode 12
Song orders a search for his son Tian, believing him to be captured by Ma's underlings.

Episode 13
Tian returns to the Song household after he overhears a private conversation between Jiu and Ma.

Episode 14
Jiu mounts a rescue attempt to save his brother from Ma. Tian eventually consents to his mother's plan and agrees to marry Mud, one of the estate's employees.

Episode 15
Song and Madame Li plan to announce Tian's upcoming marriage at the meeting of the Five Dragons, but disaster strikes as those bidding for power come to a clash.

Episode 16
Li, Bua, and Chan must plan a way to rescue Song and Tian while Dr. Qi searches for a medicine for Jiu's sister.

Episode 17
The entire family and Jiu must work together to save the lives of Song and Tian who have been captured by Ma.
