How light source technology and fibre analysis led to the conviction of murderer Stephen Marshall, who dismembered his victim and scattered the body parts across Hertfordshire.

Episode 3
A look is taken into the murder of Scott Wilkinson, who leaves his home in Walton-on-Thames and heads out for his annual fishing trip on ‘Donkey Island' in Surrey, but three days later, his body is found floating in River Thames after he is brutally beaten over the head with a blunt object.

Episode 4
The 2002 murder of 87-year-old pensioner Gladys Godfrey in Mansfield, where forensic teams acquired a DNA sample from the killer, but found he was not in the national database.

Episode 5
After a student is found dead in his car, investigators suspect his girlfriend's brother to be the culprit until he's spotted on CCTV across town at the time of the murder, leaving detectives struggling to unravel a sordid, and lethal, family plot.

Episode 6
The forensic evidence that brought serial killer Peter Tobin to justice, from identifying a weapon through blood splatter to tracing his movements in relation to other murders.

Episode 7
The capture of a gang behind the abduction of a teenager, whose kidnappers were forced to resort to murder when they were unable to find a safe place to hold him.

Episode 8
Investigating the murder of 26-year-old Sinead Healy in Hammersmith, London, where the most likely suspect, her boyfriend, was found to already be in prison.
