Episode 8

The new series continues as Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer help more homeowners to resolve their dilemmas, rejuvenate their homes and decide whether to stay put or start afresh. Kirstie and Phil visit the garden city of Milton Keynes to bring harmony to a couple who are worlds apart - both physically and emotionally. Anne-Marie and Paul bought their charming-but-challenging 1920s three-bedroom home six years ago, right before the arrival of their first child. The property was a doer-upper but hasn't been done up yet! Paul wants to list it. Between his twice-a-week 160-mile commute to Manchester, the boxed-in kitchen, and the unforgivable absence of a bathtub in their only bathroom, he's ready to cut his losses and move on. Anne-Marie, on the other hand, refuses to throw in the towel. With family close by and a belief in the house's untapped potential, she's clinging to her dream and counting on Kirstie to work her magic and convince Paul to fall in love with their home again. With a £50,000 Love It budget and an ambitious to-do list, Kirstie gets straight to work, crafting a master plan to unlock every ounce of the house's potential. But just as things get rolling, disaster strikes - a surprise roof repair gobbles up a significant chunk of the budget, leaving Team Love It to rethink their strategy. Meanwhile, Phil takes Anne-Marie and Paul to Rugby, hoping to split the commute burden, and finds jaw-dropping properties with his £500,000 List It budget that leave Anne-Marie questioning her allegiances and Paul well and truly sold. Who'll win this battle of head versus heart?
