Akaza Yukiko attends a high school for blind. She has amblyopia, which causes her to recognize colors only vaguely and she can recognize large letters with a magnifying glass. When she walks outdoors, she always carries a white cane. Nevertheless, she has a bright personality. One day, Yukiko happens to meet delinquent boy Kurokawa Morio. At first, Yukiko doesn’t like him, but she somehow gains an understanding of him. They become attracted to each other.

Yukiko is on her way to meet her friend, Sora, to see a movie when she meets Morio on the usual street. Morio is happy to see her but Yukiko suddenly gets a call from Sora saying she's too sick to meet her for the movie. Yukiko considers going home but Morio convinces her to go with him instead. Although she's initially reluctant, she and Morio go to the movie theater together. Due to being unable to read the menu, she's a little reluctant to go to the concession stand but Morio helps her out without realizing it. Meanwhile, Hanao and Sosuke go to Akane's coffee shop after Morio tells them he's going to a movie with Yukiko via text. Akane's niece, Hachiko, acts nonchalantly and leaves upon finding out.
