Лето 2014 года. Городок Рибниц на берегу Балтики. Бывшая военная база группы советских войск в Германии. Здесь проводятся регулярные фестивали ретро-автомобилей, выпускавшихся в странах соцлагеря. Во времена СЭВа и Варшавского Договора между государствами просоветской ориентации были налажены крепкие «перекрестные связи». В полной мере это касалось взаимовыгодного обмена автомобилями. В "комсомольской стройке века" - БАМе - участвовали сотни чешских самосвалов "Татра". А в это время легковые "Татры" обслуживали высших чинов КГБ и МВД. Польские "Жуки" и "Нысы" компенсировали дефицит микроавтобусов в СССР. ГэДэЭровские "Мультикары" подметали улицы наших городов. Венгерские "Дутры" трудились в "Метрострое". Чешские медицинские автобусы оказывали стоматологические услуги в сельской глубинке. Неприметные фургончики "Шкода" развозили продукты по гастрономам. В нашем фильме будут использованы кадры советской и зарубежной кинохроники, редкие фотографии из частных коллекций, интервью с реставраторами и владельцами «олдтаймеров». А, главное, будет много «живых» автомобилей, которые вызовут у юного поколения зрителей острый интерес, а у старшего – ностальгию о своей молодости.
